Rusandra-Mihaela Timoc
I am a graduate of Economic Sciences of Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, promotion of 1997. I had been working in this field for 13 years, when I decided to change my professional life towards the special education. I made friends among special children, as I have always been sensitive to their needs. I discovered how much affection means, the confidence we can instill in others, the help and the unconditional friendship. Besides the module of Special Psycho-pedagogy followed at the University of Oradea, since 2010, I have been following courses for my professional development. In 2013, I graduated a master’s degree in Educational Therapy and Speech Therapy and up until this moment I have been a student at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, within the UBB Cluj-Napoca, following a specialisation in “Special Psycho-pedagogy”. I worked as a support teacher in public schools and today I am a qualified teacher at the IES „Speranța” Zalău. I obtained both a full-time professional degree and a didactical qualification level II in education, participated at training courses and other meetings on various topics to special education. All these experiences have helped me to understand theoretical aspects related to special children, but my daily work inspires me to be proud of the choice I have made. Volunteering is one of the most wonderful opportunities that life has set before me.
